Never been shopping in the Twin Cities? Trust us, there’s much more than just the Mall of America.
BLUEBIRD BOUTIQUE: With names like J Brand, Citizens of Humanity, Elizabeth and James, and the Rebeccas (both Minkoff and Taylor) flooding the racks, Bluebird is the ultimate boutique shopping destination for the true designer junkie.
KISA BOUTIQUE: If we could only say one thing about Kisa, it’s that this boutique is not for the style shy. Kisa specializes in statement pieces; pieces that are special and can’t be found anywhere else. Now that’s our kind of hidden treasure.
MAHA! BOUTIQUE: Also for the lady with a love of designers. Maha! stocks Trina Turk, Alice and Olivia, 360 Cashmere, and yes, Citizens of Humanity.
MERILOU BOUTIQUE: The merchandise at Merilou can’t be beat if you’re into quality clothing and accessories (we’re assuming you are). We don’t mean to name drop on the store’s behalf but… Clare V. Eberjey. Sam Edelman. Yumi Kim.
MINQ: This women’s (and men’s) boutique is located in Edina and is perfect for the classic dresser who likes to throw in a bit of edge every now and then in the form of leather or timelessly chic faux fur.
PRIMROSE PARK: Yes, yes, this boutique is just as great as the others in terms of collection and selection. But it’s what’s on the inside that really counts, right? Which is why you need to shop at Primrose Park… The interior of the store is gorgeous.
ROE WOLFE: If your Instagram account exemplifies “effortless cool girl,” then Roe Wolfe is the boutique you need to check out when you’re in town. Boyfriend button ups, joggers, and easy sweaters are all regulars in the boutique’s style repertoire.
SISU: Located in Woodbury, Sisu offers the best of the best contemporary women’s apparel (of course), but they also work to inspire women to take risks and follow their hearts, both with fashion and with passions. We love it.
TRAPPINGS: We love a well-dressed guy, and we’re sure that you’d agree. If you read our blog post on essentials for the well-dressed guy, you’ll see that Trappings knows what they’re doing. Send your mister here ASAP.
ALFRESCO CASUAL LIVING: Aside from the eclectic collection of furnishings, decor, and gifts, we think the coolest thing about this Stillwater shop is that it’s located in a hundred-year-old warehouse building.
JEROMEO: Jeromeo is more than a decor boutique. They also offer jewelry, accessories, massage therapy, and yoga classes.
OMFORME: In case you were wondering, Omforme is a Norwegian word meaning “to transform,” so the name totally makes sense. That’s because Omforme takes vintage furniture and excess building materials and creates sharp, trendy furniture.
WIND & WILLOW HOME: If you like eye-catching decor with a super unique flair, then a stop at Wind & Willow Home when you’re in town is a must. Their line of wooden kitchen tools and accessories finished with bold accent colors is unlike any decor you’ve seen before. We promise — You’ll be the life of the dinner party.
BLOWDRY! BLOWDRY BAR: You know all about blowdry bars by now, but what we especially love about this Uptown salon is the incredible range of blowout styles they offer. Whether you want curls (The Bombshell), sleek locks (The Brilliant), retro glam (The Boudoir), or more, they’ll get your ‘do done.
BROW CHIC: Brows have been the ‘thing’ for quite some time now, and we don’t see them disappearing from our beauty routine any time soon. Brow Chic offers waxing, threading, and tinting, as well as makeup services and lash extension… Which begs the question: Brow Chic or Brow Fleek?
FLAWLESS SKIN & BROW BOUTIQUE: Like we said, brows are here to stay. The best part about Flawless, though, is that Yarely (the lovely owner) also offers facials. And in this weather, we could all use a little help from an skin expert.
goGLOW: Who says you can’t be tan in Minnesota? Sure it’s no Miami, but with the help of a flawlessly applied sunless tan — that’s specially customized to your wnts and needs — a South Beach glow is totally possible.
HAUS SALON: With two locations in Minneapolis, HAUS is responsible for all of the gorgeous cuts, colors, and bouncy volume you see around the city. Trust us, these are the experts.
SPOT SPA: We officially dub this the prettiest spa in town, But if you’re not won over just by the decor, keep in mind that Spot Spa is completely eco-chic. No parabens, no phthalates, no worries. Just gorgeous tips, toes, and skin.
CC & MAYS: This online baby boutique is seriously adorable. If you’re a mom or dad shopping for the little one, you’ll end up with a mini fur vest, tiny tutus, and itty bitty hoodies in your shopping cart every time.
TEENY BEE BOUTIQUE: If you’ve ever seen a little boy in a bow tie, you know the feeling of pure joy. We promise you’ll feel that same joy every time you step into Teeny Bee.
GOLDFINE JEWELRY: Our new obsession. This jewelry is gorgeous and, yes, actually affordable. You can shop online or see the pretty baubles in person (and try them on!!) at the Goldfine showroom in Minneapolis.
RELICA: Boho + Edge = Perfection. All Relica pieces are designed in designer Lisa Fagan’s Minneapolis studio (talk about a local business!) and have that one-of-a-kind appeal that we all want when it comes to our jewelry.
TESS + TRICIA: You’ve been wearing Tess + Tricia jewelry for years now. But did you know they were based in Eden Prairie (a Minneapolis burb)? You do now.
